POSITION TITLE:  Food Service Substitute/Part time

 

Location:  Lafayette Middle School                       

 

Reports To:  Cafeteria Manager 

 

Description of Position:  A food service worker assumes the responsibilities and duties assigned by the cafeteria manager.  The employee is supervised by the manager and performs duties such as safe preparation and handling of food, cooking large quantities of certain foods, cleaning and sanitizing of equipment and facilities, serving of food, and other related work as required.

REPORTS TO:     Food Service Manager

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  1. Complete tasks that are assigned by the cafeteria manager.

  2. Serve food to students and staff.
  3. Prepare food per recipe.
  4. Appropriately clean all cooking utensils.
  5. Effectively use equipment to prepare food as directed.
  6. Assist in total kitchen clean up.

  7. Performs all tasks in accordance with HACCP guidelines.

     

     

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS:

  1. Reports to work at scheduled time with proper uniform & appropriately groomed.

  2. Adheres to all school district rules & building rules & regulations.

  3. Utilizes proper hand washing techniques.

  4. Participates in meetings, training sessions & seminars as scheduled.

  5. Completes other tasks as assigned.
